The Land of Yesterday project is a multimedia project where young people recreate an Australian environment full of extinct animals and plants. The idea behind this project is to enable young budding conservationists, to use modern multimedia techniques to address the issue of extinction in Australia by recreating a land that can no longer be enjoyed.
In 2016, Rosie Kilvert and I ran multimedia workshops at Signal Arts to create animations with young people to address the problem. The results were presented on the Signal Screen.
In 2017, the project was part of the West Projections Festival. The results of the 2016 was presented in the 100 Story Building Window along with new work by myself, and a window display.
