Voices of Geelong

Across 6 months in 2013 young creative leaders from Geelong's Karen community were invited to participate in animation, song writing, spoken word, video and photography workshops exploring ideas of identity, place & belonging. One of the participants, Kaw Doh Soe Naw Nyu (KDS), created his first animation with me to make this piece. The text is based on a poem he wrote during a spoken word workshop with Tariro Movando.

Talking Difference Fellowship

In 2013, I ran art workshops addressing identity and casual racism in schools across Melbourne.  We addressed what it feels like to be a young person in Australia today.  To find out more about my project "Finding Australia's Identity", Click here.
