Land of Yesterday

The Land of Yesterday project is an ongoing multimedia project where young people create work to address the current mass extinction of animals around the world. The idea behind this project is to enable young budding conservationists, to use modern multimedia techniques to address the issue of extinction in Australia by recreating a land that can no longer be enjoyed.

In 2016, Rosie Kilvert and I ran multimedia workshops at Signal Arts.  The results were presented on the Signal Screen.

In 2017, the project was part of the West Projections Festival.

Voices of Geelong

Across 6 months in 2013 young creative leaders from Geelong’s Karen community were invited to participate in animation, song writing, spoken word, video and photography workshops exploring ideas of identity, place & belonging. One of the participants, Kaw Doh Soe Naw Nyu (KDS), created his first animation with me. The text is based on a poem he wrote during a spoken word workshop with Tariro Movando.
